TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE & TRAINING RESOURCES announced for COVID-impacted businesses:

  • RISCPA and premier vendor partners are providing customized online training programs to business owners including training and assistance with grant and loan applications, legal guidance and consulting to reposition your business, cash flow management/improve your credit score, create a business or strategic plan, leverage technology and digital solutions including ZOOM to increase sales and more.     • Extension on current guidance (early closing bars/restaurants, capacity restrictions at places of assembly, retail, etc.); orders will remain through November 29th
    • Social gathering limit household members only.
    • Big box stores will submit plans for customer management and capacity controls
    • Beginning Monday, November 30th, Rhode Island will enter a two-week shutdown period (Nov 30-Dec 13).
  • RESTORE RI Program has been expanded with businesses eligible for grants Up to $30K (double the original grant sizes).  Applicants who already received grants with expenses not covered under their original grant application will be eligible to request additional funding under a streamlined process.   • ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION - PERSONAL INCOME TAX {LC4139/1} - Creates a new income tax bracket of 6.99% on taxable income over five hundred thousand dollars.

  • ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION -- PERSONAL INCOME TAX {LC5176/1} - Adds one new income tax bracket for purposes of state income taxation
