This is a 4-hour live video conference (4 CPE credits) led by Lucien P. Gauthier, Esq., LL.M., CPA, who has been a practicing tax attorney for over 50 years.

Live Zoom Video Conference: September 21st, 1pm-4:30pm ET

Topics include how to integrate the application for the forgiveness of a First Draw or Second Draw PPP Loan with Form 941-X for the employee retention credit (ERC) for the second, third, and fourth quarters of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021 using nonpayroll costs first, non-FICA wage payroll costs second, and FICA wage payroll costs last in order to squeeze the last dollar out of both PPP loan forgiveness and the ERC by filling out lines 26, 30, 33a, and 37 of Form 941-X correctly, led by an instructor who actually has done this for at least one client as opposed to the clones (sometimes pronounced like the word clowns) who merely talk about how to do this analysis but who have not actually done it from A-Z for a particular client. Lastly, new Notice 2021-49 will be discussed!

Also discussed is the reduction in the deduction for wages paid which is required by Section 280C for the taxable year that the ERC is earned (as opposed to the taxable year that the ERC is refunded).

After completing this program, participants will be able to discuss with clients all the relevant provisions of the ERC updated through Notice 2021-23.
