GOVERNOR RAIMONDO ANNOUNCES THE TAX FILING DEADLINE WILL BE MOVED TO JULY 15 - Governor Raimondo announced the Rhode Island filing deadline will follow the Federal announcement and move to July 15. However, the Governor also stressed during the press conference, "If you are in a position to pay your taxes on time, to please do that." This is a critical time for all Rhode Islanders and we are grateful for Governor Raimondo's leadership during this crisis. RISCPA will provide additional details as soon as they become available.
APRIL FILING DEADLINE:
- In conjunction with announcements made today by United States Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin and Rhode Island Governor Gina M. Raimondo involving the April 15, 2020, deadline for certain tax filings and tax payments, the Division of Taxation will mirror the federal extensions and is awaiting the issuance of written guidance from the Internal Revenue Service.
