A capacity crowd attended the inaugural RI Business Forum Breakfast Series, held Tuesday, October 8th at the Providence Marriott. The event, with special guest Senator Jack Reed, featured RISCPA’s own RIYAN Committee. The committee, which included RIYAN Chair April Arruda, Vice Chair Will Flanagan, Justin Jacques, Deanna San Antonio, Kevin San and audience participants David Lieng, Anthony Pagano & Lauren Nadeau, served as panel hosts and questioned the Senator on a wide variety of topics including student loan debt, renewable energy, opportunity zones, defense and national security, social media, consumer privacy and the economy. Attendees included CPAs, banking and industry leaders and special guests including Mark Hayward, US Small Business Administration, John Simmons, RI Public Expediture Council, Neil Steinberg, RI Foundation, Dave Chenevert, RI Manufacturers Association and Neena Savage, RI Tax Administrator.
