FREEDOM NATIONAL BANK NAMES ANDREA WHITE VICE PRESIDENT OF RETAIL AND SMALL BUSINESS BANKING

Greenville, Rhode Island---Freedom National Bank, headquartered in Greenville, Rhode Island, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea White as its new Vice President of Retail and Small Business Banking.   
 
In her new position, Ms. White will serve on the bank’s senior management team and be responsible for the operations of the bank’s branches, small business development activities, marketing, human resources, and facilities management.
 
With over 20 years of banking experience, she has served in a number of key senior management roles throughout her career that will serve her well for her new post at Freedom National Bank. Most recently, White served as Vice President at Bank Rhode Island where she was responsible for all compliance, policies and procedures that relate to programs of the Bank Secrecy Act. Prior to joining Bank Rhode Island, she was Senior Vice President and Senior Retail Banking Officer for Eagle Bank in Everett, Massachusetts where she managed the Bank’s retail division and was responsible for small business development, branch operations and sales activities.
 
White has also held other significant banking positions. As Senior Vice President and Chief Retail and Operations Officer, she was part of the senior management team that started Commonwealth National Bank in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2001. Over her tenure at the bank, Commonwealth grew to a six branch network which today has assets in excess of $300 million.
 
She began her banking career at Fleet Bank (formerly Bank of NE) in Worcester where she was a Branch Manager and Cluster Manager for a group of three branches.  She then moved to Flagship Bank & Trust Company, also in Worcester, where she served as Vice President and Branch Administrator, managing sales, consumer lending, mortgages and non-deposit investment products for a seven branch network.
 
White remains active in community activities and previously has served on the Board of Directors of both the Worcester and Everett Chambers of Commerce.

White earned her BS in Business Administration from North Adams State College in 1987 and an MBA from Nichols College in 1993. A resident of Northbridge, Massachusetts, Andrea and her husband Kyle have two children, Lauren and Matthew.
